First day - Morning session.
•The Reform of Taste
An analysis of the attempts by second generation Pre-Raphaelites to create an aesthetic enviroment in the home, in particular the foundation of William Morris, Marshall, Faulkner and Co. Examination of the birth of the idea of the 'philistine' And the imposition of the new taste by the artists around Morris upon their wealthy patrons.

•The Life and Art of William Morris.
Broad overview of the career of Morris, his sometimes fraught friendship with Rossetti, and the relationship of both men with Jane Burden, a Pre-Raphaelite muse.

Afternoon session - Visit to Wightwick Manor
• Tour of the house to view its architecture and design, and to see the Victorian paintings which are still preserved there.
