Topics covered include the events that launched the Industrial Revolution, important sites and manufacturing centres, its effect on family life and the profound social changes it brought with it, along with detailed character portraits of the leading innovators of the Industrial Revolution such as Abraham Darby and his family.
INDUSTRIAL ARCHAEOLOGY WEEKEND

This weekend involves extensive visits to some of the most important sites of the Industrial Revolution, including the Ironbridge Open Museum and many of the industrial centres within it. All visits are fully guided and supervised. The visits are preceded by introductory slide shows and lectures.
