Howard Drury began his studies at Kew Gardens and the Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh and obtained his diploma in Horticulture with Honours. He became involved in the making of Central Television’s Gardening Time programme with Bob Price and Cyril Fletcher. Howard was also privileged to work alongside the legendary greats Arther Billit and Percy Thrower before teaming up with Geoff Amos.

Howard has presented the Garden Time programme for 11 years and has also written his first book on Alpines. Howard is now a free-lance writer, broadcaster and consultant. He gives a wide range of horticultural talks illustrated with two computer linked projectors onto a 9ft screen with full stereo sound. Talks include "Growing Alpines", "Plants in Containers", "Gardens of the West Midlands" and "Colour in the Garden".

Howard has special contacts allowing him behind the scenes to visit places normal gardening holidays are not able to include in their itinery.
