PAINTING
ON SILK
Course No. 001 Tutor - Dianne Stanley BA(Hons) MA. LSIA.
The exciting and versatile art of painting on silk can be experienced at one
of Dianne Stanley's workshops. Dianne is very well qualified in painting on
silk as a fine art and for interiors and furnishings. She has taught in America
and Europe and at the University of Central England. Whether you are a novice
or have experience in brushwork techniques this medium suits every ability.
Along with Dianne's guidance and enthusiasm every student will be able to design
and paint such things as a picture to frame, cushions, tie backs, personalised
greetings cards and small wall hangings.
Workshop times are from 10a.m. to 4.30p.m. with a one hour break for lunch.
Light refreshments are provided throughout the day. Students are asked to bring
their own lunch or should they wish to have a mid -day meal then the Red Cow
pub in the village offers an excellent choice.
A nominal charge will be made for dyes and sample silk pieces. Larger quantities
of silk can be purchased from Dianne Stanley at reasonable prices.
Reference books will be available at the studio.
